Fairmount Water Works Interpretive Center!

ok so about two weeks ago we went to the F.W.W.I.C and it was very informative. they had old water pipes from the first water system in the U.S. and the thing is that it is the first water system in the U.S. We learned alot about where they got their water from and how they purified it. We also learned about how they advanced their technology to fix any complications they had. there is a huge difference in today's water supply from back then. the main things that caught my eye was that they dumped all human wastes into the river of water they drank from; we still do it today. so i feel i got out of the trip that we need cleaner water and we need to be smart about our resurces and what w do with them!!!!!!!!!
